Where to sell books online

Postby cheap-textbooks » Fri Sep 09, 2011 7:50 pm

If you want to sell them yourself I recommend Amazon.com. They have the highest traffic and provide the best chance to find a buyer. They process the order, take a commission of 15% plus a flat fee of $2.35 and send you the rest. Half.com is a is my second choice and they charge a lower commission depending on the selling price. Craigslist is another alternative but I bet you don't take credit cards (you could set up a PayPal account) and be sure to take a buddy for your exchange meeting.

Another option is to sell the book to one of the online stores. You can get free buyback quotes at http://www.cheap-textbooks.com/sell-textbooks.php to see if this is of interest.

You forgot Chegg? Half.com is OK. Amazon pretty much have everything but sometimes you just really need to go compare other sources before deciding to buy there since you could save more money if you buy somewhere else.
http://www.bookgator.com/ is a social platform where students, instructors, and student interest groups can work together to reduce cost of college textbooks and education in general.
