There is also http://www.books.google.com , Connexions (http://www.cnx.org), Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources (http://www.oerconsortium.org) and Flat World Knowledge (http://www.flatworldknowledge.com)
You can also try free swap sites like http://www.bookins.com and http://www.swap.com.

1.) Wowio (wowio.com):

PDF versions of new books to buy, and also free ebooks Wowio members cannot download more than three free books per day or 30 per month

2.) FreeTechBooks.com:

Free books on science, engineering and computer science skills Professors have the option of uploading lecture notes free along with books

3.) Google Book Search (books.google.com):

Search for previews of copyrighted or open source books, maps and magazines

4.) Cliffs Notes (cliffsnotes.com):

Guides on select novels, foreign languages and math available for free

5.) WikiBooks (wikibooks.org):

Project focuses on creating open-source textbooks by experts interested in widening educational access Similar to Wikipedia
